What is a DUST Enhancer

So you heard about magic DUST, did some digging (pun intended) and found the Telegram group. You synced your WAX wallet and created a Telegram username as instructed. Then you started chatting and earning DUST one. at. a. time. What if I told you that instead of 0.1 DUST per message, you could earn between 0.2 and 0.5 DUST? It’s true. If you have any DUST Enhancer or DUST Partner NFT in your wallet you automagically get between 0.2 and 0.5 DUST per message sent (the exact number is chosen at random at the time your message is sent). In December of 2020 the first enhancer was introduced. It was called “DUST Sucker” and interested collectors began to buy them without really knowing the purpose, other than it had something to do with DUST. Shortly after that, “DUST to the Future” was released. By now, people in the community started hearing about these unique NFT's and demand began to rise. Also introduced into the system at this time was "Daddy's Duster", a cheeky top hat that is awarded to DUST mine operators that go above and beyond to promote DUST and are active in the community. Daddy's Duster is the only DUST item to be minted as an NTT (non-transferable token). This means it can not be sold.

In early January of this year, the creators of Blockchain Heroes and DUST project advisors - Joel Comm and Travis Wright who had one of the very first DUST enabled rooms came up with the idea to create a special NFT to commemorate both their collection and DUST. The NFT was named "Dustbusted" and became the very first DUST Partner NFT. The original thought was that the partner NFT would give a DUST boost to holders chatting in that specific room. But it was later decided that holding ANY DUST NFT, be it an enhancer or a partner gave the user the 0.2 to 0.5 boost in any DUST enabled room.

Recently a third generation of DUST earning was introduced – Algorithmic Mining. For owners of DUST Enhancers or DUST Partner NFT's this programing feat does two things simultaneously:

  1. As you send your message in a DUST enabled Telegram room a random number between 0.2 and 0.5 is generated. This is your base DUST boost for owning an Enhancer or Partner NFT.

  2. The number generated above is then multiplied by the number of Enhancers or Partner NFT's in your wallet.

This means that your 0.5 DUST message could suddenly be a 5.00 DUST message if you held 10 Enhancers. That's some valuable conversation if you ask me!
